So ... It's December! Only 23 days until Christmas! I'm staring at an absolute mess here in my living room and two bags filled with beautiful china that I can't wait to wash and photograph! It seems as though the sky could be falling, but if I've got pretty china, everything is okay ... Stay tuned!

... so ... I've been doing some shopping, some painting, a little decoupaging ... a little more shopping ... I know the big show is months away, but I feel like I need to use all my free time to prepare. This is going to be big!
Friends and family have been great; they're already offering help and support and I so appreciate that. I'm looking forward to spring break from school. I'll get all of my big pieces painted then and any finishing touches can be applied on the weekends that follow. In the meantime, I'll be washing up my terra cottas so I can apply some pretty cool vintage transfers. As I complete them I'll post them here for a little preview of what's to come at this year's Country Living Fair at Everyday Vintage.
In the meantime, here are a few of the pretties I recently picked.

... and of course there have to be a few rustic treasures, too.

Well, I've got big news!
I'd been waiting for an email and yesterday morning there it was ... I've been accepted as a vendor at this year's Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, New York!

In June 2013 I attended the Fair for the first time with a good friend. While there I noticed the Sisters on the Fly with their vintage travel trailers. They were adorable! I knew I had to have one ...
I'd started renting space at a local antiques center just 11 months prior and thought that I, too, could take my wares on the road!
Now mind you, I am a teacher in "real life", but I do have summers! I came home, scoured craigslist ads in my local area, then moved out a little farther, then even more ... and found one a little over 4 hours from my home. I brought the idea up with my sister, the sensible one, and she told me to go for it. Three weeks after first deciding I had to have my very own Shasta, I was towing Maggie Mae back to the Hudson Valley, over the bridge and into the little village where I live.
In June 2015 I went back to the Fair and when I got home joined the Sisters on the Fly and while I haven't yet been to any of their events, I will be heading up to Rhinebeck this June and hope to get to know some of them in person!
There's a lot to do and I need to start now! Better get going on some of these projects ...
